We have been producing and designing paper for generations.
Renewable raw materials are processed into quality paper in Gmund with an ecological mindset, paper expertise and an instinct for colour and design.
The task of our papers is to make customers, brands and products more successful. Our solution-oriented approach and our flexibility save time and costs, our production is verifiably ecological and makes our customers visibly more eco-friendly.
We work future-oriented to develop beautiful, ever more ecological and better products and have been doing so here in Gmund at Lake Tegernsee since 1829.

In the Gmund Compendiums there are hundreds of different paper characters from just one sheet. With the Gmund Creative System we offer over thirty thousand variations and deliver from as few as one thousand sheets.

ACTING ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE
Conserving natural resources and acting environmentally conscious is part of everyday life at Gmund. With the Environmental Charter, Gmund Paper and its customers are committed to the four pillars of environmental protection in the paper industry:
WATER: Water consumption is constantly decreasing due to efficient optimisation measures. Only in Gmund is the used water treated free of chemicals with the help of ozone.
RAW MATERIALS: Gmund Paper is FSC® certified (FSC-C006462). Consistent attention is paid to the use of environmentally friendly, sustainable raw materials.
WASTE: Waste is carefully collected separately and recycled.
ENERGY: Thanks to in-house facilities, up to 75% of the electricity is generated by hydroelectric power, solar energy and combined heat and power - CO2 free.

GMUND IS FSC CERTIFIED
Gmund has been FSC® certified since July 2006 (FSC® C006462). The certificate applies to Gmund and Lakepaper.
It is the policy of the handmade paper mill Gmund not to participate directly or indirectly in the following unacceptable activities: Illegal logging or trade in illegally harvested timber or timber products. Violation of traditional rights and human rights in forestry operations. Destruction of specially protected areas in forest operations. Significant conversion of naturally grown forest to plantations or non-timber operations. Introduction of genetically modified organisms into forest operations. Violations of the ILO Declaration or any of the ILO Core Conventions defining fundamental principles and rights at work.
